The smart one third were, for these few reasons of basic common sense, able to form opinions based on historical criteria by which our species arrives at a collective awareness of what is right and what is wrong. A simple binary proposition.

Educated informed opinions, consistent with the evolution of clear thinking educated opinions trained by examples from the best of thinkers who paved the way for clear minded thinking. Those who have the highest capacity for representing the highest good for all.

Objectively developing an ideological canvas on which to formulate their own independent ideas that, invariably, end up at exactly the same place the further up the educational ladder one climbs. Alcoholics Anonymous teaches that no recovery from destructive choices can progress without honest admission. Confessing to self and to like minded peers. My guess is; until we have a national circle of trust in which the two thirds who voted to mass murder babies admit to themselves what they have done with their choice to vote for a mass murder party, then nothing will stop the inevitable outcome.
